Today the Carlyle Group’s joint venture with Generation Estates acquired a freehold site in Islington that has planning consent for a new 400 bed residence.
Located in Finsbury Park opposite the former Rainbow Theatre, the site is adjacent to Finsbury Park Station (Piccadilly, Victoria & Main Line Services) ensuring rapid connectivity to all of London’s educational establishments.
The site is also within easy walking distance of London Metropolitan University’s Holloway Road campus.
The scheme which principally provides good sized en-suite study bedrooms will be developed in time for the start of the 2012/13 academic year.
